Systems Engineer – Boston Metro area
Job Description
The Systems Engineer position will be responsible for supporting multiple sales people in the New England area. The position would require both pre-sales and post-sales functions in support of existing customers and in the pursuit of new business. The ideal candidate will possess a background in a variety of corporate IT technologies, including security, infrastructure, storage, applications, management, and toolsets. A strong background in e-mail and/or web technologies would be helpful. This position will also assume some responsibility for Accunet’s internal network, and the ideal candidate will be willing and able to expand their role to encompass new technologies in the future.
Duties
- Attendance at meetings with potential and existing customers
- Technical presentations (in person and via phone or web)
- Supervised project design and management
- Installation, implementation, and integration of multiple technologies
- Participation in company certification programs as required
- Support of the internal corporate network and applications
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree preferred
- Familiarity with major New England markets and companies preferred
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Experience working in a multi-vendor environment
- Demonstrated knowledge of corporate IT technologies, particularly mail and web
- Ability to work with multiple salespeople
- Strong time management skills and ability to work independently
- Flexibility to perform multiple roles in a dynamic company
Compensation

Systems Engineer – NY Metro area
Job Description
This engineering position would be responsible for supporting multiple sales people in the NY Metro area. The position would require both pre-sales and post-sales functions in support of existing customers and in the pursuit of new business. The ideal candidate will possess a background in a variety of corporate IT technologies including security, infrastructure, storage, applications, management, and toolsets.
Primary Responsibilities and Duties
- Utilize technical knowledge to effectively configure, deploy, support, and resolve technical problems in the core solutions offered by Accunet Solutions.
- Collaborate with customers' internal information technology divisions such as Security, Server, Applications, Infrastructure, Facilities, and others to facilitate the completion of assigned projects and/or initiatives.
- Collaborate with prospective external vendors such as hardware manufacturers and service providers in the implementation and completion of Network Engineering initiatives.
- Attendance at meetings with potential and existing customers.

Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related Information Technology field preferred.
- Minimum 5 years IT network, security, and/or storage experience.
- Familiarity with major NY/NY/CT markets and companies.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, time management, and independent work ethic are a must.
- Experience working in a multi-vendor environment.
- Proven pre-sales and post-sales abilities.
- Must be able to demonstrate solid understanding of firewall technology, Endpoint Security, web, e-mail, and network fundamentals.
- Ability to work with multiple salespeople.
- Flexibility to perform multiple roles in a dynamic company.
- CCNA or CCDA encouraged.
